Over at Nashville is Talking, Glen Dean was taking it on the chin for some comments about the far left. After reviewing Glen’s comment to that post and the discussion on his website, I find myself in agreement with Glen, particularly on the First Amendment issues. The far left often tries to censor speech they find offensive. They forget that what is considered offensive is ever shifting. Once they set that as the standard, they can just as easily find themselves on the wrong side of the feel-good line. Dissenting and offensive opinions are an early target of those who seek to curtail other freedoms. Choose any totalitarian regime around the world to see this idea carried to an extreme.
I would have voiced my support of Glen in the comments to the posting on NiT. But, I don’t care to be guilted into such things. It’s too bad he chose that tack. He seems to be consistent and right on a wide variety of issues.

Thanks for the link and the comments. Maybe you are right about the shame thing. Thanks.
